When You Are The Only One, Its Kind Of Lonely

I am not as consistent about attending my Church as I should be. I do make sure to go at least once a month. But, I am the only one in my immediate family who goes. My husband had a bad experience with the Church we had been going to years ago and wont go back. My kids use to go with me but with the lives they are living now, they don't attend with me. My younger one will attend with me maybe on a special occasion. I will be honest, I feel lonely when I go. I know I should not feel that way but I do. Some of you may respond to me by saying, I could invite a friend to attend and I just may do that soon. I have been attending an Alliance Church. Have you heard of that denomination and if you go to Church , what denomination do you belong to?

@LeaPea2417, in our church we try hard to make sure nobody feels alone or left out, and I know there are many churches that do the same. I always hesitate to suggest that someone look beyond the church they are in, but if you are not feeling really connected in that church, you might want to start visiting others. Don't be afraid to check out newer, smaller churches. They are often the most friendly of all.

Yeah well it just happens to some of us. I go to church on my own too and I've gotten used to it. Haven't heard of your church until now. I'm a Catholic.
