Best Reasonably Priced Smartphone?

I am thinking of buying a new smartphone soon as my iPhone 4s is starting to play up and it won't allow me to install new apps because of the ios 8 software update. I wish the iPhone 5 was more affordable as I am not willing to spend over £100 on smartphone let alone £500! My sister did say she will give me her old iphone 5 but so far she keeps putting it off and I have a feeling she won't end up giving it me in the end. So the question is what is the best reasonably priced smartphone to get? I want one that has great HD screen and has a great internet browser.

I am not a fan of iPhone because I think its price is not reasonable. I like Android phone much more because they can have as many as good apps like iPhone. And it is much more convenient to connect the computer. And the price is nice.

Can you get a free upgrade? I know when I had a cell phone I qualified for free upgrades and got a couple nice phones without having to pay the exorbitant price.

IPhones are expensive, so you wouldn't those, but I must say they are made of quality materials I have the IPhone 6s plus, and I love it. My very first iPhone was the 5S, and it was a great phone, but the screen was just to small. I like the bigger screens,as mine has a 5.5" screen, which is great for watching videos and even doing mylot.

@gudheart Yes they are, but the way they are built is what makes them expensive. i would rather have an expensive phone that will last over one that is cheap and falls apart in a short time.

@rosekiss You are right. I still think £600 is too much for a phone though.

Wow ok good question, I'm not sure, I have a S3 mini but the battery not hold charge or something happening to it. I've looked for a new phone but the prices are too much for me at the moment. I've never had a iPhone, never really wanted one. I do like the new Samsung, but the cost I don't like.

I have no idea about any of the phones, I just use my old flip. It is cheap and gets the job done.

Are you able to get new phone at lower rate or free if you sign up for 2 years contract? Over here, the telcos basically give away the cheaper smartphone if you sign up for the contract, and most of these phones are great phones, but not as famous as Apple.

I've always been partial towards Samsung and Samsung does have low end and high end phones. It's quite a reliable brand.

I'd suggest to read reviews online, they usually help you to make comparisons in terms of features and prices. Good luck!

Try Galaxy s4 or LG g2 used mobile phones. Many online stores are selling used phones and if you want to save money it can be a great help. I am using s4 which I bought for 170 dollars and it is a nice phone
