If you could invent something useful, what would it be?

Many of the things that we can see in our surroundings nowadays are inventions, we can see a lot of them. These inventions really made our lives better and we can see them everywhere.
There are countless of inventions that we can see and experience. Some famous inventions are: electricity, television, telephones, cars, airplanes, trains, computers, mobile phones, medicines, and a lot more.
These inventions became useful and helpful to our everyday lives in all aspects.
Now, if you could invent something, what would it be and why?

I would like to invent something whioch I think was available in the past but seems to have become extint nowadays - respect. I have not seen it around in a long time and I think today people have no idea what it is at all.

I will invest my time in inventing a device to read people's mind!! Professor X from X-men always made me curious towards such a thing!!

I am not much of an inventer for sure, but when I was raising my kids and before I retired, I was a court reporter and I would dictate and then type what needed to be put in depositions, or hire the work out. My son used to tell me he was going to invent some sort of device that will just type out what is dictated, and by and lo, sure enough, some smart person beat him to it. Someone did invent that, and it is awesome. But I retired before it hit the market. But it sure would have saved a lot of money and time for me had I had it when I was working.
