I enjoy making little bits of Christmas magic with my grandkids. It makes memories and it makes the holiday more fun. Here is one I plan on using this weekend with my youngest grandkids. I bought each of them a small flower pot. I will let them decorate the pots with markers, stickers, glitter and such. When the pots are ready, they will fill them with cookie dirt (Oreo cookies crumbled - I put a few in a freezer bag and break them and roll them with a rolling pin.) then they plant peppermint candy in the pot. They set the pot in a window and go about their business. We will check on the pots a couple of times and may have to sprinkle them with Christmas magic (red and green cookie sugar that I put in a salt shaker) When I know they are not looking the peppermints will disappear and they will have grown into Candy Canes!

That's a really fun idea. I was just thinking of maybe trying to do some Christmas crafts with my kids. I'll search online for some ideas.

They know you "helped" nature along, right?
