What do you think about long distance relationship? I have ever tried it, a long time ago. It didn't work for me. It's not about trust though. We trusted each other. It just didn't work.

Maybe your relationship wouldn't have worked short distance, either. In my case a long distance relationship did work.

That's great for you. And I think you are right about it. So it's not about the distance, but the relationship itself and the people involved in it.

I also tried the long distance relationship. At the beginning we all thought we could succeed it, but the fact was a failure at last. It is too difficult to maintain a long distance relationship. One of them should make some sacrifice so that it is possible to work.

Long distance relationship are really tough!! I was away from my current girlfriend for a period of 18 months!! I was in the southern part of the country!! We both only know how we survived it!! But yeah One thing is for sure, it did make us closer to each other!! May I ask why it didn't work, if trust was not the issue? I know there can be many reasons but still I would like to know the reason!!

Well, it's a bit complicated. We didn't have a prospective relationship. We live in different cities. She couldn't leave her city, job, and family, and neither did I.

I had a long-distance relationship and it did not work out. It wasn't because of the distance. It was because "he needed someone close by all the time". Instead of finding a solution that worked for both of us, he found someone closer to where he was. Ultimately it wasn't about distance, but his need for instant gratification. I found out he was cheating.

Sorry to hear that. I think it is one of the challenges of this kind of relationship. Cheating, for any reason, is not acceptable though.

Honestly, I don't believe in distance relationship. Why? Beacuse if I have a boyfriend, I want to see him when I want. I want to kiss him, caress him, go out, cuddle. And you can not do this by the net. I could not resist without his presence near me.

In my first marriage I did it once when I worked in Korea while my wife (at the time) went to school. It did not work to well.
