had any females here in mylot had hernia surgery?

I think I got hernia. I made appointment to go see a doctor but Im little scared. I know it going to hurt after the surgery but I would like to know how it went if any female member here had it before.

Is it any different for a man? My Dad had an hernia once, he wasn't in hospital long at all, and his recovery seemed rather quick to be honest.
