Begining to read To Kill A Mockingbird

I saw at the library that Harper Lee came out with a new book called Go Set a Watchman. To Kill A Mockingbird is a classic. I find it very interesting that she went so many years between writing the two books.
I have never read To Kill A Mockingbird but figured I might as well start reading it and then I can read Go Set A Watchman after.
This will be the 49th book I have read this year.
My children and I have been reading the Harry Potter series. We are on book 4 about 150 pages into it. I bought the movie on ebay as the copy at our local library was all scratched up and wouldn't play. I watched the movie (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) with my children last night. They were so scared. We will not be watching the rest in the series and my son doesn't want to even hear the stories anymore either he was so creeped out.
I will be reading the rest of the Harry Potter book 4 with my daughter but I think my son and I are going to start on the Magic Tree House books.

I have also been wanting to read to Kill a Mockingbird. I think we watched the movie in school.

I love reading the Harry Potter series with my kids. Unfortunately the movie was just to scary so we won't be watching the rest for a few years at least. My daughter and I intend to keep reading the rest of the books in the series though.
I usually don't read to many classics. I did read one a few months back called The Good Earth because a friend recommended it to me. It is pretty neat to see the different writing styles and words and expressions used in classic books compared to current ones. It is amazing to me that Harper Lee wrong to Kill a Mockingbird and waited over 50 years before writing another book. It got me intrigued.
