Day 5 – Joy in the Lord 1 Chronicles 12 What brings you joy? I’m certain you thought of a myriad of things with that question. However, is it joy or does it just make you happy. There is a difference. Joy is something that doesn’t go away with time, while happiness is dependent on certain events taking place and only lasts a short time. So again I ask, what brings you joy? Saul was dead and David was still in Ziklag when all the men of war in Israel went to him to bring him to Hebron to anoint him king in place of Saul according to the word of the Lord. When David was fully come to Hebron and he was made their king there was joy in Israel. Why was there joy in Israel? It was because the word of the Lord was fulfilled when they made David King. When we do what God requires of us, we have that same joy. It is more than a state of being happy, it is doing what God asked of us, and that joy continues. Yes, I am aware we do not always appear joyful or have a smile on our faces to indicate our joy, yet when we do God’s work there is a sense of joy that cannot be rubbed out. One of the fruits of the Holy Spirit is joy. As Christians, when we accept Jesus as Savior and Lord, that joy becomes part of us. Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. (KJV) Let the well-spring of joy bubble up in your life as you do the will of God in your life. Let’s pray: Father, let there be joy in my life as I do Your will and let it be evident to those around me. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen. I normally don't comment on these, have little to say. I am because it looks sad that there is none. It's nice to see people free to express their beliefs and religion, even when others may not believe the same things.

Yea you are very much right and correct the only thing that bring joy to a righteous man is when he /she obey the voice and commandments of God and that also give God so much joy

I agree. There is a passage, I'm not certain where at the moment, that says God rejoices over us.
