Snow pain

Snow in the night. Whoopie if I were A. a kid and B. an owner of a helicopter.
I am neither. I had to take hubby to the doc for his follow up from the hospital visit and then he needed to go to work.
I talked out loud and did not scream as I steered our little car first down the snow covered driveway- not sliding into the fence and horse pasture near by. Then bumped up onto the scary road. Unhappy drivers followed me as I cruised up to twenty miles an hour. I continued to voice my angst and averted my eyes from the deep dtiches. I did see the deputy with his ton of flashing lights as he assisted a little truck and driver from a ditch.
My hope right now is that when I drive back to get my hubby tonight the roads will be melted clear. Wish me luck!

Our roads they're deadly in the winter even when plowed:/...the problem is the blades clear over the ditches and...in some cases that's a 20 foot drop:/...like, it's hard to see where the edge of the road is and where the drop begins. It wouldn't be so bad if there was a dividing line in the road to give some indication but...there isn't. Sometimes even the plows have ended up in the drop:/
