My new schedule is ridiculous

They got a new DM at work, who obviously has been making big changes to the store. I don't have an issue with her to say the most. She seems nice, and willing to hear what you have to say. I know she has a store to run but really annoys me is the fact they changed our schedule completely. We are now working 4 -5 hour shifts, which in my point means more gas for me compared to if I worked 6-8 hours.
I work next week 4 out of 6 days 4-5 hours each day. I am sticking it out until the end of the holidays as most places wont hire now or just seasonal. But I need something even if it's another part time job.

Let her experiment with the schedule for a while, and she will soon revert to the old schedule.
It is tougher to plan for many slots of 4 hours rather than a straight slot of 8 hours.
I think she just wants to show that she is capable, and she wants all of you to know who is in charge now.
After a couple of weeks, her "fire" will extinguish, and things will be back to normal.
