Floods!

I have to drive 18 miles to my place of work, but it is a commute I really like, I had to go in for a few hours today and the roads were fine when I travelled there this morning...but by the time I came back it was a hazard of floods. There had been a spell of brief by heavy rain which had run straight off the fields onto the road, and I am very glad I could drive back in daylight...be careful out the UK folks :)

We've had a lot of rain and storms so they have subsided for a day or two then come back with a vengeance ever since I posted that...a wet winter so far!

@gemmsky LOL!! Attach some swim board which can be automatically used to help the car float and run in such case :P... aaah the imagination of these low budget movies, they truly make everything possible! LOL

There has been a lot of flooding here in the U.S. recently. I'm sure you have probably heard about some of it on the news. Flood waters are so dangerous and too many people ignore the possibilities of danger when they try to drive through flood waters on the road. "Turn around, don't drown." is what the news people tell us to remember, when tempted to drive through high water on the road.

Floods are one thing I never have to deal with where I live. Glad you had no trouble. I commute to various places as a substitute teacher and I always enjoy the drive.
