If anyone ever makes fun of you for studying so much, ignore them. If anyone is ever offended that your prioritize education over everything else, stop worrying about what they think. If anyone ever tries to make you feel bad because you refuse to go out and do the things they want to do because you have an upcoming exam, don't even try to compare yourself to them. You're doing the right thing. You're working hard, and no one can tell you otherwise. Your education is important, all the other stuff can wait! You'll have your time to shine once you've completed your education!

@moffittjc Well said. Some people just don't respect another one's life sometimes. Studying is so important.

I believe education is very important, but it isn't the sole means to achieve success in life. There are many successful, happy and wealthy people in this world who never received a university degree. Hard work, determination and dedication also play important roles. And sometimes luck!

@VivaLaDani13 I guess a lot of it depends on what kind of profession you want to go into. Hey, did you ever finish your classes you were taking? I still want you to do my nails when we finally meet up!

Education is more important and you can have fun once you get your degree.

Yes!!! I've been preaching that to my two kids! I keep telling them that I don't want them to NOT have fun, but to defer that fun until after they've completed their education! Then they can have all the fun the want! lol

@troyburns That's true! Education should be fun! We're more apt to person educational and learning opportunities if we enjoy the experience!

@jstory07 - Education can be fun too. If I was rich enough, I'd spend my days taking one university course after another.

I will never stop learning. I learn from anything and everyone. Even our pet Preiti teaches me.

Education is important, but young people should also learn to follow their dreams. It's not necessary to become a lawyer of a doctor to be successful in life.

@moffittjc I agree, learning does not mean university, curious people never stop to learn.

That is true! But education and learning don't necessarily mean a university or college degree! There are so many different ways to learn in this world! Following your dreams is, in and of itself, a learning process!

I agree that Education is an important thing to all, but learning is a process never make it in a rude , hard manner. Learning must be interesting with lots of fun and games in it.

That's correct! Learning should be fun and interesting! And in addition, learning should also be a lifelong process that never stops until the moment we die. We can always learn more, no matter what!

I was nagged for completing an MBA. Others in education thought it was too advanced for my needs. Strange isn't it? One personnel director in a school district told me that. Bizarre.

It's funny how times are changing! Years ago when I was in college people questioned me for pursuing a masters degree, saying it was a waste of time. Nowadays, it seems like you can't even find a job without having a masters degree!

@ElizabethWallace I'm not totally against that, if we can just re-arrange our priorities with our tax dollars so we can figure out a way to pay for it.

@moffittjc Which is why K-16 should be free for all. Bernie Sanders is right. It is a necessity and would benefit society.

Well, though I think education is important, but now I am not the one who believes other stuffs can wait until I have completed my education. Of course, I am not asking others not to study hard, but at the same time, we can also learn and do other meaningful work. My parents believe education is very important, and teachers kept telling us we will have time to do other things when we have completed our studies. I like to study and I studied very hard, but I will not ask my children to do the same. I agree with teaching the children to ignore what others said, stop worrying what others think, and not compare with others, but I will ask them to play, learn to do things (more life skills) and serve the community. I have missed all of these, and I am really lacking of life skills and experiences when I have graduated from university. After completed the studies, I didn't have much time to do what I wanted to do, as I was busy working. Working life was actually much busier for me.

Education doesn't suit some people. I love studying and will continue to do it till my end days. I find it fun. I think that may make me weird. But it was only when I got to university that I found I actually enjoyed learning. Nobody wants to study when they're young. :)

That's what makes learning so hard, is that when you're young, you just want to have fun all the time! Nobody wants to spend their entire day studying when they are young, they want to get out there and enjoy life! I wish there was a way we could balance education and make it more enjoyable for our youth. Then they'd be more apt to want to learn!

Nah, they're too busy out being thugs and gangstas and wanna-be's.! They probably don't know how to read, since education wasn't a priority for them! lol

I couldn't agree more! Prioritizing other distractions above education won't help you achieve your full potential. And yes you will have time to shine once the education part is complete... Work hard play hard...
