Something Strange Happened

I had an experience, yes, another one. But not like the last post I have written about something strange. This is different. Well, this happened back in January of 2013. It was a few weeks after the new year, I had gotten up from sleep and went to have some coffee. I then did what I always do, I went to my computer, turned it on and logged into a few sites that I use to earn some extra cash. Well, I worked online for a bit, maybe about an hour or two. At this point, I was getting hungry. So, I logged off and put my computer to sleep. I went into the kitchen to prepare some breakfast. But before I started I had to use the bathroom. Okay, this is not going to get strange like that. Stop thinking like that. LOL. Okay, now, As I was in the bathroom, just so you all understand, I was doing number one. So, while I was standing there doing my business. I had a feeling come over me, a strange feeling, now, it did not last long at all. It was like maybe a second or two. This feeling that came over me was pretty surreal. For a fleeting few seconds I really felt like I was back in the 80's for that short blip of time. Then as fast as it came, that's how fast it passed by. Now, the bathroom still looked like it was now, but the sounds of the family talking outside the bathroom were the same sounds that I remember back in the 80's. Now I am not saying that I went back in time for anything, maybe it was just my subconscious or something. I don't know what it was. I wonder if anyone else has ever had an experience like this. I just thought it was something I would like to share. I know this sounds a bit off, maybe you might think I am mental. But, for those few seconds, this felt and sounded extremely real. Now remember, I know how the sounds sound now. What people might be talking about outside the bathroom. It had no relevance to the current time frame. It was relevant to years past. It was that moment. I think you would have had to feel this to understand this. So, this is my second strange story. If I ever have anymore of these I will write about them. That could very well be it. I don't know. But the feeling was awesome. I felt comfortable with it. Like those fleeting few seconds reminded me that the past is still alive somehow.

@inertia4 I believe that the past is, even if we cannot really access it

@inertia4 It is. Time is a fabrication of society. In other dimensions, there is no time. There is only the present, and yesterday and tomorrow are the same. Hard to imagine, but somehow, that is very exciting to me. So much we don't know.

Did you actually hear voices from the other room, or was it a resurrection of sounds from years past? Our memories are so stuck with us, and they can resurface any moment. The feeling that goes with it is amazing.

They were actual voices from the past. Not the present. That is why it felt strange to me. Like somehow the bathroom, how it looks now, was somehow transported back in time for those few seconds.

Time lapse, nice!!! Time travel? Doubtfully. But it was a cool experience. One that I wouldn't mind happening again. Although, since then, it hasn't happened again.

@Rosekitty Would this be something to even have on a bucket list? I never thought about that. Well, I will put it on the list and take it off. Done. Nice!!! I have a few things I would like to do on my bucket list. But I will not list them here.

@inertia4 Yes,I understand you.I too have had one such incident.I too heard while I was looking out as a background my mother ,sisters and my brothers talking .I did not distinguish the words.Just for a moment. My mother and two of my brothers are no more. This was a period long before I got married. Now I am going through a period, where I am not sure what to believe and not to believe.I have often wished for this comforting scene many times.I do not think that your experience is deja vu.

Maybe you should write a post about your experience. I would love to read it. I sometimes wish I had more of these strange experiences. But I guess I take what I can get.

Yes, deja vu, maybe. I can see that. But this was too real. I have had those deja vu moments in my life, many of them. But this one was different. It had a totally different feel to it.

What I experienced I know cannot be explained. It was strange but it was also very comfortable to me. I think we all go through something like this in our life.

Hi! I can relate! I've had a lot of strange things happened to me! Many unexceptionable! Perhaps it was your body defense in over drive. Was it a good experience for you?

Well, I only had a few things happen. Nothing crazy. But if you had many of these types of experiences, you should write posts about them. They would be interesting.

I have a few questions if you don't mind? When you were about your business, were others really talking in the house? I mean were people actually around chatting? It sounds to me as if you had very real case of deja vu. Was there any music playing? a T.V? I have deja vu like moments, or moments when I am not quite awake where the fleeting thoughts I have are surreal.

It could have been deja vu. Again, I am not sure. Were there people talking? Yes. But it wasn't like it was them in the current time. It was family members from the past. No TV was on either. Either way, as I have said before, I enjoyed that few seconds. It was a warm feeling and a comfortable feeling. Almost reassuring.

I don't know if there would be more. This and the other one were all that happened. So I doubt there will be anymore strange things happening to me. unless I come back after I die. LOL. I could make some up as fiction though. That is an idea.

I have not experienced that strange thing yet. But you know a few times I experienced a relative or friend, whom I have not seen for a long time, suddenly come to my mind . . and after a short moment, that relative or friend come knocking at our door or saying HI to me in the mall. Ever experienced that?

Ah, I see what you were talking about on my discussion. I do have those every once in a while, not often but its like a momentary vacation back in a memory. Not only sounds but smells sometimes will be there. Very cool, interesting and nice to know you are a guy,,,standing and #1

I've had a few feelings like that - sometimes I'll just feel a breath of air from another time. Nothing literal, but just an odd feeling. I found your account interesting.

Computer blip? Our brains are organic computers. Imagine what we could do if we knew how to push any of the keys at will.

If we had full control over our brains, who knows what we would actually know.
