Does Not Reflect All Canadians

Does not reflect all Canadians or does it? I just read a news article about a 27 year old man that actually shoved 51 live turtles in his pants and tried to cross the border into the USA. Officials noticed irregular bulges in the mans sweatpants on both his legs. He could face up to 10 years in prison for this. Need I say what a silly dumb thing to do? Why is our news filled with weird things like this. Canadian Crime at its best or at its worst.

I would rather read about people strapping reptiles to their legs than shooting up cinemas and high schools. So I'll take Canadian news ahead of that from south of your border.

How could he ever think he can get away with that crime! We also have such type of weird news here by the way.

@salonga Makes ya wonder who has gotten away with crimes like this. What has been brought in to our country that we don't know about.

Well look at the bright side , it is not terrorism nor Justin Bieber. I remember the petition of many Americans wanting him deported back to Canada but it seemed like Canadians dont want him back neither/

@CaptAlbertWhisker Yes he sure caused a lot of attention. I myself am not all that interested in Justin Bieber. He actually grew up in a town about 40 minutes from where I live. My son played a basketball game against him when they were in highschool. Canadians at least where I am are not that big on him

I know, I read that in our local newspaper. Its a strange news story, but I think that is why it made such news, can you imagine trying to sit still to go thru the border crossing with all of those little critters in your pants?

I don't know if this link will work or not:
A Canadian man caught with dozens of turtles inside his pants is getting snapped by the U.S. justice system.

I have heard last week of someone trying to pass the border with parrots closed inside a baggage. Those stupid criminals should be punished more, because they risk the life of the poor animals.

@LadyDuck boy I wonder how they would even think the parrot would be quiet. We have a tv show here called border security and a lot of people bring weird things but very few of them living this. I remember one episode where a lady had a bunch of meat taped to herself. I agree when I think past the weirdness of it they really are putting the animals/birds at risk

Who was the international mastermind behind that idea. And why 51? Maybe he was only supposed to bring in 50?

@AdrienneJenkins I wondered about the 51 as well. Maybe it was 50 and he brought one extra just in case there was a loss of one.

That is plain stupid. I think there are many more Canadian criminals who are more brilliant than this. I wonder what is wrong with this young guy. His lawyer will definitely ask for mental health check, and get him out of jail by saying that he is mentally unsound.
