I was born in a Hindu family. However, I was named after after one of the books of Buddhist Theology: Vinaya Pitak. Vinaya literally means discipline. Even though I am a practicing Hindu, I take interest in Buddhism. I was introduced to Buddhist meditation when I was a ninth grader. Though I am not regular, I meditate once in a while. I practice mindful meditation which is called Vipassana.

Hi, Buddhism is an offshoot of Hinduism ..Meditation in itself is an excellent stress reliever that can also help you focus on your goals . I meditate once in a while and find it helps me immensely

Very interesting about your name. I have sort of meditated but would need more practise. I often find it hard to relax my mind.
