Reincarnation or A Chance To Restart (An Idea for a Sci Fi Story)

You Just Died, Prepare To Be Reborn, As Yourself

There have been a couple of posts today I've seen about reincarnation. This is an interesting coincidence. I was recently thinking along the lines of reincarnation for a story. The premise is that you do get reincarnated, but not as someone new in this timeline, but as yourself in a new timeline that begins with your conception, everything prior to that being exactly the same as it was prior to your creation. Of course, no one remembers having been born before and very little changes from time to time except for, perhaps, those little things we just feel an impulse to do or not do the same way this time, that feeling of deja vu most of us feel from time to time. The story would revolve around someone who keeps his memories of his previous incarnation in his last timeline and tries to do things differently each time so as to avoid, or cause, a certain outcome, but no matter how many times he goes through it, in the end, the outcome is the same. Anyway, that's the basics. It needs a lot of work before putting pen to paper, or fingers to keys, as the case may be.

I look forward to reading your book when its done! I am a believer and just commented on one of those discussions about the subject. It certainly is science fiction but I would love to read it.

I hope you're patient. Right now I have two other book projects ahead of it. One I hope to have out by next summer and the other by next Christmas. In the meantime, you can enjoy my 3 River Dream books and 2 Buzby Beach books. If you don't rush through them, lol, I may have the 3rd BB book done before you finish.

I do understand what you are saying but I have to disagree, I think we do come back as different people, even different genders. SEE Bruce Jenner used to be a woman so he is acting out what he remembers, no he did not say that, I just used him as a reference to identify what I am meaning. Or how about a person that was born smart and not taught, I think that person is reincarnated and has the abilities of all his or her pass lives on earth.

I was not supporting or denying the existence of reincarnation, but merely positing an idea I had for a possible future book combining the idea of reincarnation with the concept of infinite parallel universes.

That would turn into a very interesting story when you are done. the person could keep coming back and know more each time to help with his/her life.

Thanks. I'll keep that in mind. I will need some beta readers if you're willing to do so in return for a free copy of the book.

In this world there are many different ideas. Can they all be true when they are contradictory?

I'll look forward to it, when you're done. I don't really know what to do with that, when you could keep your old memory, and you can always look on to it, if you have doubts to the things that you will do..
