I went to visit Rose one last time yesterday, before I head back home to NC. She wasn't wearing her oxygen and was sitting up in a chair! She is on a regular diet now and is famished! A real good sign, especially since a few weeks ago she had no appetite! She has gained a few lbs. The doctor came in and listened to her chest and remarked how clear her breath sounds were. He said, without looking at a scan, I can't be sure, but the difference in sound makes me think the tumor is shrinking. So I am holding on to that hope that the radiation is shrinking the tumors, so they can operate. I am going back home in the morning.

Thank you so much. Emotionally, I am doing so much better than I was 3 wks ago! I was so frantic.

@Pattitude It makes it hard; not only on the person that is ill but for friends and family alike. It's tough trying to be the strong one.

that does sound like a good sign. i'm glad. i'm still sorry she has to go through this though

Thanks. I just talked to her 2 days ago, she sounded great and said she should be coming home in a couple of days. They had moved her to the rehab floor and was working on building her strength.
