Lots of shopping today, finally posting off my long distance Christmas cards, buying my 2016 diary, and I received my own first Xmas card, a virtual one right here on Mylot. The weather turned unexpectedly pleasant after a weekend of torrential rain, which caused severe flood damage in northern England. This was made apparent at the comedy cabaret show I took part in later in the day, as two acts booked to participate were unable to get to the venue due to the floods. The remaining cast put on a great show though, themed around the Xmas movie Home Alone. One set managed to make a very funny comedy routine just from a reading of the closing credits to the film. It was almost certainly my last visit this year to Three Minute Theatre which will close for much of January for maintenance work too – a huge thank you to the venue that has become such a lovely second home and a recurring performance venue for me. A big thank you to everyone there and I’ll no doubt be back in the new season. Arthur Chappell
