I could die but I won't!

Do you ever think of death? Your death?
(Oh, the drama!) :o)
Wednesday morning I go to Broward General hospital for outpatient surgery--I think there are 4 different procedures--and I will be put 'under'. Due to having had congestive heart failure, having arterial defibrillation, having to cut out my coumindin, having a 70% blockage carotid neck artery and blockage in my leg, with being put 'under' there is a slight, VERY slight, chance I could die on the table.
Considering that EVERY day since December 30, 1999 has been an added day to my life the prospect of death, (and being prepared for it), I am not worried/frightened by the possibility. All my papers are in order and considering all my heirs will inherit are my debts and going through my 'stuff'' it would/will be a very easy transaction for all.
Sure there are things I still want to do--I have a big birthday coming up--my Leap Year birthday is Monday February 29, 2016 and I will be 20!!-but all in all I've had a good, interesting life and have done mostly what I wanted to do and met fascinating (good and bad) people along the way.
Do I want to die? No. Am I enjoying the 'drama' I am creating? You bet I am! I just wish I knew if I will die Wednesday--if so I would go out and eat ALL my favorite foods on Tuesday! Then again if I live after the procedures I can do that eating Thursday! :o

Well we will miss you if you go....it's something all of us think about the older we get, our papers are in order and the kids will be fine without us, life will go on but I'm not ready to go so watch out world, I'm still kicking

I don't think anyone wants to die. It is an unknown, so people seem to shy away from it. but it will happen in it's own time to each and everyone of us. In your case, you are not going anywhere. Believe me. Everyone that goes under an operation has a slight risk of dying. Life itself is a risk. You will be fine. You are one tough person, you will pull through with flying colors. And you will be back here telling all of us about it.

@GreatMartin It's bad enough being in hospital without the food being average. Hospital catering seems to have improved overall I think.

I remember back in the 70's when I had several female surgeries. Each time my doc would have this discussion with me about how serious any surgery was. That I could die. Okay. Talk about paranoia. Now they don't do that thank goodness. I would probably do the same as you if I knew. It is even the not knowing that might end up killing me. Good luck to you!

I think the doctors and nurses are more nervous than you when they want to operate on you.
If you die, they will have to bear the responsibility and guilt for the rest of their lives, and you probably already in heaven drinking coffee, and flying about.
