Afraid to live alone or maybe just afraid of being alone for even short periods of time? I'm not but I used to be so was just wondering if anyone else was.

I will be honest. I am not afraid to be alone as far as having alone time goes. However, I am uncomfortable with the thought of being 'ALONE'. By this I mean, I could not imagine how life would be if I lost my family, or had none at all. Prior to being a wife and a mom, it was hard. I enjoyed my life to some extet, but it was noit fufilling. So, having said that - now that life is completely fufilled and enjoyable, it would be a very lonely time in my life if I somehow lost that. I woul;d not say I am afraid of it - but I am uncomfortable with the thought.

I am not afraid to be alone at all. I enjoy some quiet time in my life. I do miss my husband when he travels for work and is gone for more than two days, though!

I'm not, but I guess when I have a lot of 'alone' time I go kinda crazy because I'm not used to being alone. I like to be busy & surrounded by people:)

I'm one who likes to have time to myself on a regular basis. However, being alone emotionally and not having a family or a good friend to turn to would be heartbreaking

There is no point in living alone and afraid of every thing hence you have to be in the world courageously and fearlessly striving to face any situation that would possibly encounter in your life

No. It is kind of nice with the peace and quiet once and awhile. I live in a safe area so being home alone doesn't scare me. I have lived home alone since last August because my hubby got deployed to Kuwait. So I am getting sick of being alone!

I'm not sure, 'cause I'm still young and I've always lived with my parents, but I must admit that the thought of living alone kinda scares me.

nope. i usually love it when i am alone. i can do what i wanna do without someone disturbing me. i love to read books and i hate to be annoyed while reading. i love to write letters and i need silence when doing one. in being alone, we can find inner peace, we can think clearly and we can be ourselves.

I am not afraid to be alone, but it is nice to have someone to lean on to, I just got married so I have to say I would rather be with some one than alone.

im afraid to end up alone. I just ended a realtionship of several years with the father of my child and i'm constantly wondering if i made the right choice. What if i don't find anyone else?

If you have friends and relatives, then living alone is not really a very lonely existence. The only problem with that is if you have no friends and relatives to be there for you in times of crisis.
