Do you see hits for discussions you posted some time back

Hi, I am active since 3 days, i observed getting more hits for the recent posts immediately as and when posted. My query is, if you are here for months can you clarify whether you get hits/responses for the discussions you posted days or weeks back. This is just to know whether people here generally responds on latest posts or hot topics or new user posts what ever the tabs we have on left pannel or above all this does people search for the topics they are interested in. If people used to search for their interesting topic and respond to it, does that post appear in hot topics or recent discussions etc., in the left pannel, if this happens again that old discussion becomes fresh and people start responding to it once again I personally feel, if there is some tab in addition to interesting discussions, hot discussion, new users etc., which displays the latest responded discussion then all the old discussions also will get live as and when responded and there is scope for getting hits for previous discussions as well. what do you say?

I have only been here a few weeks but I do still get comments on older discussions, the point of mylot is interaction so if you are having a conversation in the comments of an old post there is no limit to how long it can keep going x

Guess what, I recently got a response to one of my posts which I actually posted FIVE years ago. And that was the first and last response on that post!

I receive new responses and comments on discussions that I posted years ago as well as those from months and weeks back. However they do not then appear in any of the tabs on the left. The 'most recent' discussions are just that, the most recent ones that have been posted. The 'hot' and 'top rated' only last for 24 hours (from when they were first posted) in those tabs.

I have received responses again to a few of my discussions that are several years old. I never thought it would happen, and I was quite surprised when I saw notifications to that effect. It made me realize then, that they are interesting enough that users want to respond to them, and that makes me feel good too. One never knows when you post a discussion if it will get responses and comments years down the road.

Use the you might also like option. This leads to posts of all ages. If the mylot tee is still active you will receive a response.
