Poor, old Lonely Man. Slowly walks alone. No one speaks to him. No one visits his home. Lonely Man looks out his window. He sees boys playing in the snow. Lonely Man stares and stares, Facing an anonymous unknown. Eating his meal in silence. Quiet is his life. Twenty years it was different When he had a loving wife. But fate had dealt him a cruel hand, And his wife died from a deadly tumor. Now the Lonely Man just cries and weeps Praying that his life will end sooner. Oh pray for the Lonely Man. He needs love and support. No one should live like this And hide behind an empty fort.

Reminds me of a great bluegrass song, Bed by the Window, as sung by by James King. Youtube it if you don't know it.
