Lucid dreams, China and amazed at the power of our minds

So I'm more or less finally catching up on some sleep-I'm still a little sick and...oddly enough I can't taste anything right now...but, I'm almost better and I can finally sleep more or less normal (for me anyways). And being as I've gone into REM rebound, I had long dreams. And lucid ones. This time I went on a trip...to China. Why? It was a dream, I went with it. The odd feeling was though that it seemed to go on for hours-I know that that is very unlikely, but still the perception of it is what amazes me. What did I do in "China"? Mostly...just got lost in a seemingly never ending maze of an airport-which still fascinated me too...because as I was "walking", I had this one reoccuring thought...I'm creating this? Like...I'm walking on and on, aware...and the scenery is changing...and on some level, I'm creating this? The mind is really amazing. Mmmmm, in retrospect, my dreams are kinda lame...cause the entire dream was about never leaving the airport.

Aren't dreams amazing, they can take us anywhere. I've had airport dreams before and I'm always amazed at the people who show up there.

I had a test dream two nights ago and it was really annoying me because I just didn't get the questions I was reading. I knew it was a dream but I still tried to figure out the problems. In the end I gave up and used my 'auto-solve' ability to finish the test. That's been a handy solution I gained this year.

That is also a common occurance in dreams where one is even semi aware that it's a dream...particularily in times of stress re. tests or things at work. Even with some awareness that it's a dream, our minds seem driven to fulfill this mental task.

@HebrewGreekStudies Actually I was fully aware, since I only dream in lucid dreams now. That was how I was able to use the 'auto-solve' power to change the structure of the dream. I don't control most dreams because when I was little I used to do that and ruin the dreams, so I just let them do their own things. I like to watch.

Funny dream. If you are in an airport, you are not likely to know if you are in China or not. I think you exercise enough in your dream!

But, you made the airport intricate, which is probably why you never left it. Good you are kind of sleeping again, I hope you keep feeling better @HebrewGreekStudies . :-)
