Credit Cards are the main reason behind the success e-commerce business

In India I see lot of e-commerce sites have become very popular some of them like flipkart, amazon, snapdeal, ebay etc., over last one, two years
They lure with exciting offers from time to time and they even tempt with offers some times we can't resist from. Every thing we get on EMI's on Credit cards and some times with 0 interest rate, so naturally people will tend to buy things more than what they can afford for.
So I guess credit cards are the underlying factor for the success of e-commerce sites, it is just because if we need to buy with cash like debit cards we may not afford buying all the times but with the use of credit cards we tend to buy the things even if we dont have enough cash in hand.
Do you prefer use of credit cards

I've a few cards but don't think theyre the reason for e commerce success as many of us have internet payment options such as paypal.
Many cards are only 0% for balance transfers or for purchases up to a certain time.
I think the primary reason people shop on the net is convenience.

yes i do agree with what you said, for daily routine purchases it is definitely for convenience but for high value items like mobiles, laptops, tvs, or other home appliances, middle class people may not afford to pay it right upfront so these credit card offers and EMI options will help them to buy immediately and pay in installments.
For high value items, we generally buy on credit card and convert to EMI's that way it is useful for us
