Day 7 – Testing 2 Chronicles 9:1-12 We all know what testing is like, the kind of testing we do in school. We all hope to do well when the tests are completed and the grading accomplished. The Queen of Sheba came to prove or test Solomon in all she heard about him, and when she finished all her questions and regarded all his servants and ministers, she stood back amazed because all she heard did not compare to the proof before her eyes, which was more than was told her. Have you exceeded expectations or have you come up short or average? We know the over achievers and those who do well in all classes. They wear the gold cords at graduation and receive scholarships to colleges to further their academic studies and go on to their career choice. As Christians we are put to the test every day by Satan. He doesn’t test our knowledge and wisdom as the Queen of Sheba did, but he does test our stamina as Christians. He does his best to lure us away from our position in Jesus Christ. He does his best to convince us we failed in our walk before God, and we will never measure up to God’s standards. Before you buy into the lie Satan speaks in your ear, think on this – You passed the test when you accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord. You wear robes of righteousness sewn together with the blood of Jesus Christ. When you stand before the Father, He does not see your sin, but sees the righteousness of His Son on you and declares you not guilty. Knowing your stance before the Father gives you the assurance and boldness to look Satan in the eyes and remind him of his destiny found in the lake of fire. He did not pass the test, but was kicked out of heaven along with a third of the angels who were with him in the rebellion. When the final judgment is passed on him, he will find his place in Hell reserved for him and the angels with him. What is your stance before God? Have you passed the test and declared Jesus as Savior and Lord? If you have not yet taken that step, there’s still time to do so. Let’s pray: Father, thank you for seeing me as not guilty before You as I stand before You in robes of righteousness sewn together with the blood of Your dear Son, Jesus. Help me to remember I passed test the moment I accepted Your Son as my Savior and remind Satan of his future every time he comes against me. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.
