Christmas tip - A successful bit of last minute shopping.

I'm in Holland this weekend and it suddenly hit me that there are a few people's presents that I hadn't arranged and wouldn't be able to fix if I waited until I got back home on Sunday night. I received an email from one of my favourite gardening websites - Thompson and Morgan - who were offering some really great Christmas plant baskets at prices well below what you'd expect and - best of all - with free pre-Christmas delivery. I've arranged an outdoor hellebore for my cancer buddy Karen who has incurable thyroid cancer but also incurable optimism. I chose the hellebore because it's a hardy perennial - which is exactly how I like to think of Karen. My other special thyroid cancer buddy is getting a basket planted up with pink hyacinths and one of my oldest friends who I won't see until January, is getting a holly basket planted with narcissus bulbs. I made a mistake and didn't use the voucher code on one of the orders but still paid less than £30 for the three orders and did the whole thing online from another country. If I'd ordered a basket through Interflora, I'd have paid more than that for each one. I won't add a link as I'm sure it's not allowed but if you are in the UK and want to order some Christmas plants for friends of family, just search for Thompson and Morgan and make sure you apply the special free P&P code which applies until Sunday night. Happy shopping and apologies to all the non-UK members who can't take advantage of this great company's deals.

I've used that firm several times for my garden flowers, they are a good company.

I love them. And if you ever need to phone them, they are absolute stars.

I guess it is an even exchange. There are plenty of great sites here in the US that people who live in other countries can't utilize. Enjoy!

It's so wonderful you were able to get that done while away from home. And sounds like some awesome deals. Love Hyacinths.
