Agree with everything the pastor says and then do the opposite

There is no lack of wise people among us. We can find them in the various religious groups. Many Christians are very fond of quoting the words of their pastors. They agree that they have to live a simple life. They agree that temptation is the cause of all miseries. They agree that they have to work hard, save money, and learn from the ants. They like to hear the wise sayings, but once they are back in their normal life, they do the opposite. They are lazy at work, because they do not think they are paid enough to work hard. They are not saving enough because they think that God will miraculously help them when they need money. They forget that in nature, when animals do not heed the warning of nature, they will die. If we do not heed the warning to learn from the ants, all the prayers in times of need will not help us.

What should we do? Throw stones at these people?

If throw stones work, then there will not be so many miseries. For those people who lose their jobs because they are lazy, I will not have a word of comfort for them. I will just tell them to do better in next job.

@scheng1 I've never met a perfect person yet. People go to churches not because they are great but because they are lacking in something and searching. I suppose the same goes for people that need a job.

It is like cussing on every day except Sunday. People pick and choose, and think that only some "sins" are valid etc...

Cussing is not that bad, compared to some of the other actions taken. Perhaps the only thing I can give them credit is that they still dare to go to the church, and back to the usual way of life without feeling guilty.

@scheng1 TO err is human ; to forgive divine. I don't know, I guess that I am nopt very religious. Still I think that it is a waste to go to Church if you are going to pick and choose what to follow. I can't think of the terminology I want to use to better explain.
