Currently I run a new business in the virtual world of Second Life, now some may say that this is only a game, however I do not think of it just as a game.It is a world where one can create a business and have it either fail or succeed. I have realized that it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to make something grow. The idea is to plant seeds, and watch them grow into something amazingly beautiful. My business is something to do with Adult Entertainment, it is a big empire to become apart of, and there is a lot of competition. I've offered something different and unique though, compared to others that I have seen out there. As always with a new business, it is stressful at times, it is painstakingly hard work to keep up to date with everything, let alone you have a lot of people you need to deal with. I'm learning a lot in this adventure, and I hope with lots of hard work and lots of little seeds planted all over the place, it will grow into something beautiful and big, I want it to flourish and succeed. I would also like anyone else's businesses to succeed. If you could run your own business, what would it be?

I have to admit, I have heard of second life and wondered if there wasn't a place I could have a small biz in, is it easy? fun?

It depends on a lot of things, you'll need to invest like any business but yes it is a good way to start something. It takes time and creativity. Be unique and find something no one else has yet :)

As a former business owner, the best type of business to run is one that you are capable of doing every aspect of if the need arises. I had a vehicle transport company. I was set to do quite well except for the one thing I couldn't do, haul the cars myself. I loved putting loads together and talking to the customers. Unfortunately, I wasn't lucky with hiring and have little patience for people who will not do the job they were hired to do. Needless to say, after a year, I decided to throw in the towel.

I always try to do something every single day, it does pay off and has been getting responses, just takes a while. This is different than what you were doing, but I understand how it is.

@nafretiti I kind of guessed it was different. The one thing all businesses have in common: someone needs to be in charge of them. Good luck in your venture.
