What would cause a person to be unable to walk when released from hospital after a ten day stay? No cause was given. Person had pacemaker put in for a irregular heart beat.

If they had been in bed for 10 days without using their legs, that could be the answer - weakness.

@norlaw I don't know but I would certainly have it checked out by another doctor. I'd want an explanation for sure.

@norlaw They probably said that they don't know because you're not on your friend's list of people who can receive information about his medical conditions. Privacy laws prevent any medical professionals from giving out that information without having express written permission from the patient. In other words, it's not your business.

He had a rapid heart rate. A pacemaker was put in and was released in 10 days. He had remand in bed the whole time and when released could not walk or stand. No reason was given.

Is that a riddle or what? Why don't you tell us?

No it is not. A friend went to hospital because his heart beat was fast. They put in a pacemaker and after 10 days released him and he could not walk or stand.

What is your point. As the doctor. We aren't doctors on this site how should we know.

My point I would like to know why and if this has happened to anyone else. They gave no answer of why.
