Random Word Post – fatuity

I find a random word by flipping through a dictionary or using a random word generator and write a quick – often silly – little post about it. # “1. Something idiotic or stupid. 2. Imbecility; idiocy.” This comes from the Latin fatuus, or foolish. I wonder if it’s also where we get the term fathead.

@innertalks What's worse, having a head full of fat, or air?

Perhaps the word fatuous is related to your word. I know that one. It's an adjective that means, silly and pointless, as in "a fatuous comment" synonyms: silly, foolish, stupid, inane, nonsensical, childish, puerile, infantile, idiotic, brainless, mindless, vacuous, imbecilic, asinine, witless, empty-headed, hare-brained.
