Day 12 – God is our Captain 2 Chronicles 13 Every battle has its captains who lead their troops against the enemy. They set the strategy and carry out the battle plans. Abijah was the next king of Judah and he went up against Jeroboam, son of Nebat, and God was with him in the battle so that Jeroboam died for all his sin in building golden calves and setting up priests to the false gods. As Christians, we are in a daily battle with Satan and our Captain is the Lord Jesus Christ. It is His plans and strategies we follow as we lift up His name in worship, keeping Him always at the forefront of our lives, not forsaking Him, as He will never forsake us. Satan pursues us, but his day is coming when he will be cast into the Lake of Fire. Jeroboam met his end because he defied the God of Israel, so too Satan will meet his end because he defied God and leads mankind away from the God who loves him. We need to stand strong against our enemy and our Savior, Jesus Christ, will always lead us to victory. Let’s pray: Father, thank you for sending Your Son, Jesus, to be my Captain and go before me against Satan, leading me to victory over sin and darkness. Help me never forget that He will always lead me into victory. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen. Copyright © 23 December 2015 by Valerie Jean Routhieaux Image courtesy of Pixabay

I pray that we always remember He is the captain and stop replacing Him because that way we will always win

True. We always win when we place Him at the head of our lives and let Him lead and guide instead of going ahead of Him.
