Finally, we were down to the wire. Inspiration struck. The pressure was on. Whatever the reason, at noon yesterday I decided I could not wait any longer before tackling the Christmas shopping. After lunch, I loaded my three year old granddaughter into the van and we set off to the mall. The parking lot was busy but I found a spot and a cart with relative ease. Good thing! Sandra had fallen asleep. With her, sleeping, her small head on her folded arms, leaning on my purse we circled the store. In a reasonable amount of time (under an hour) we were through the checkout and on our way to the grocery store. Thirty minutes later we headed home. Praise was heaped on Sandra for being such a great assistant. (I wish every shopping trip went that smoothly.) Now the shopping is done, and I can spend Christmas Eve preparing for the birth of our Savior. For those who maybe taking a few days away from Mylot, I will take this opportunity to wish you a Blessed Christmas.
