The Elves are on Strike

Well it has happened. The elves are on strike. They want to be paid, receive benefits, and get time off from their work. Larry Elf said, "We love our work, but Santa has to pay us. We need to have a vacation from the North Pole. Also, we deserve to be paid. Receiving candy canes and chocolate chip cookies is insufficient. We get sick too. Santa needs to provide us with health and dental coverage. Little Jamie Elf has terrible tooth decay. So Santa, we are on strike. If you want us to play, you are going to have to pay!"

No doubt they want minimum wage raised as well. Insulting, I think, to more highly trained elves who went to eight years of elf school and will make barely more than they do. Humbug, I say.
