When dad's love knows no limits

I am lucky I realized how much dad loves me, and while I continue to have differences with my parent, it is now a calm and caring environment in our home. I have come across some very caring parents out here. Dads in particular. The LambLiesDown and DaddyEvil..to mention a few though I know others too care. Here is a song I don't know if you all like, but I would like to dedicate to these great people in my life, because knowing them has helped me understand that no matter how bad I am, my dad will always love me and has loved me. Thanks Lamby, thanks Robb ...because of you both I could see my papa's love better and be blessed. Of course the song has nothing to do with either of their lives, they did not leave their babies...but they did turn back from very difficult situation...like my papa did...and that was huge moment for me. Hope god makes everybody realize how much their parents love them, and value that love before it is gone.. hugs...I am crying...for no good reason...other than realizing how much I am loved. Silly tears.

I always believe that it is the one whom you love the most, you have the most of your differences with. And your post somewhere confirms my belief. And another thing that I observed - you have put up an avatar of yours. Something that shows the more positive you. Love yah. And yes, as dear @hora_fugit puts it - not going to check a sad song. Also my speakers are locked for a few months.

Oh yes, about the avatar. I am so irregular, felt like it always was here! @vandana7 did you put it for first time here..?

My calculations (or whatever those were) always said that your dad loves you too much. And the vice versa. Could use some positive emotions... but not going to check a sad song. Not now.

Funny...when somebody like Lamby pours his heart out, I realize some similarities in dad...at first used to think that why couldn't my dad be as caring..but small small things I did not notice became prominent ...thanks to how these people expressed their emotions. Just because dad never said it ...did not mean he didn't care. I turned out to be insensitive soul.

It's important to pause and reflect on the love you have. Celebrate it while it's there.

Yes indeed. Sometimes we take our dear ones so much for granted that we do not realize how much value they are adding to our lives. On reading about such things in others lives and rationalizing then in our lives, we begin to realize how kind the almighty has been.

I like that song very much, I have liked it since it was released by Wayne Newton in the early 1970s.

Actually, I would have said, "Silly woman! How can any father not love his daughter...!" and only then would I remember that I am speaking to a woman from India! And be happy she realizes how much her father loves her, since that is not the norm there!

Many men here don't. Yes. But my papa does. You know you want your son to talk to you. Lamby too desperately wants to see his kids. I began silly thing after reading posts from you all. I started calling dad...and he never snaps at me wherever he is. Never gets irritated...no matter with whom he may be sitting and discussing serious issues. He talks to me as if I am almost 6 or 7 year old, and teases me. I never noticed it ..till I started seriously observing him after reading and understanding posts from you and Lamby. I extended understanding to you all, but failed my own father. Oh...how much I have lost in all these years. :( That is one reason I want you and your son in good terms before there are more regrets..

@vandana7 Dear, I will talk to him any time he wants to talk. You know he watches what I do on Facebook, so I stopped going there. Now, he has begun stalking me here. He can read my posts, and has, so he knows he can talk to me here simply by joining this site and sending me a pm. I know he still has my phone number because I have carefully never changed it from the time he was 18 and left home. He will contact me when he feels like talking. I will not force him. I did tweak the bug on Facebook, which is probably why he followed me here. I will not do any more than that. He must make a step, too. I have made several. Would you prefer I throw all dignity to the wind? I hope you aren't telling me that, hon?
