How do you find the posts that interests you? You just surf the interesting page or try out the no response or new user sections? Sometimes I dont find anything interesting from them all. I often find a lot of short posts at the no response section by the same person. I think they didnt get the idea on how to use mylot. No one responds to them and they stay there for a while. Does following someone helps get some interesting discussions? Need some tips.

If I see that someone has made an interesting comment I will go to that person's page - I've found some great people that way. If you've tried all the usual things, go and see what people you are following are commenting on. Do that by going to 'people'.

Yeah, I dont bother about the one liners. But due to this sometimes good posts get pulled downwards in some sections.

I don't really look for anything in particular. I pretty much just answer anything. Especially the ones that have no responses so people don't feel bummed out that no one has answered them.

@aju007 Yeah I know what you mean. Well not much you can really do about that besides just moving on and hoping to find another discussion that you can join in.

@aju007,Generally I find some interesting posts in 'explore',and if not,I visit newbies' posts and posts without any responses.Often posts initiated 'most recently' are very interesting.

@MALUSE made a good suggestion. Those posts are some of the more interesting you'll find here on myLot. I do agree that some folks, especially under the New User and No Response categories don't understand how myLot works, as evidenced by their multiple short posts that don't curry a response.

Just post anything you want. But if care about the post, well, think of a topic that will caught the attention of many (the world). Trends, world issues, in the news, etc. Sometimes, being simple will gain some comments. The bottomline, it depend on the users if they will like it or not.
