Has technology replaced common sense?

Do you know a child? Do they use a calculator to add and subtract simple numbers that you probably remember memorizing in school? Has GPS and map apps made you oblivious to which way is north,south, east and west? Do you know where the sun rises and sets from your own backyard? If you get lost on the road can you figure which direction you are traveling? Please let me know. I am only curious because we all get in dilemmas that we eventually have to use our mind for. Yesterday I was asking people how to get to interstate in a strange city. The streets were all one way so it was quite confusing. No one seemed to be able to give directions.
