Freedom of expression

How free are we when it comes to expressing ourselves. There is always a fear that keeps us from expressing ourselves completely! A fear of how the society would accepr our expression! Conquering this fear is when i would say i have the freedom of expression!

I agree with you. There are times when we just have to hold back what we want to say

There is a term called responsible freedom wherein were free to express ourselves but still adhering to the norms and not offending others.

By freedom to express i meant expressing ones desires and opinions which are solely personal ! If someone finds these offended it again is a personal choice as many others may not find it offensive ! Offending others by soeaking hurtful sentences is a matter of conscience and not fear ! Offensive statements are not affected by fear ! They are driven by lack of conscience !

Perhaps that fear should not be conquered if it's the only thing that stands between us and saying what we think (and thereby upsetting or offending others).

Fear is not what keeps you from offending a person. Its your guilt conscience that keeps you away! One must be brave ro get over the fear and matured enough to recognize his inner conscience !
