Are you already doing what gets you close to your goals?

There's no time to waste. It's a fresh start; you're already there at the starting line. Do you already know what you want? Do you know how to make it happen? Are you on it already? Today I am like '2nd day of 2016 falls on Saturday, great.' I mean, Saturday is like one of my slacking days and the following day, too. People probably still have hangovers from New Year and maybe even tomorrow they are still trying to recover from gorging and getting wasted. Anyway, almost two years ago, I started practicing breaking and I get excited learning to do amazing things with my body. Last year I set up my goals to learn certain tricks and moves which I did manage to reach. Yet somehow I've known that I could have gotten a lot better if I didn't waste any time at all. So this year, I have a new list. Hopefully I will be traveling back to my home-country to compete and around Peru as well. Trying out new things, too, like blogging (for the 1st time) to earn a few bucks. xD So this is how I talk to myself to start with: while some people are still resting, I will be working my ass off. I know what I want and how to get there. I can make every day a step closer to my goal--I want to be thrice as better. It won't be that easy but I won't stop pushing myself forward. I can't wait for someone else to do it cuz everybody else is already too busy taking care of themselves. Help will come when I really need it and ask for it. But, if they're just things that I can still handle, I am fine on my own. That is so far for my passion in breaking. It has been a tough road and frustration never fails to pull me back from time to time. Not to mention about making money; trying to balance between your responsibilities and your passion is a bit difficult. I'm lucky enough to find a job that sort of suits my attributes. I am so far confident that I can do a lot better this year. How about you? Are you already starting your way towards reaching your goal?

I have a few long-term goals that I'm trying to reach. One is to be a better mandolin player. I've been practicing every day, so that's good. Another is to play softball this Summer with no calf cramps. To that end, I'm trying to stretch more and will head out cycling today in spite of the cold. So yes, I'm trying to do little thing to reach longer-term goals.

@mnjhun1 Yep. But there are some things (like cycling) that I can't do every day. Playing mandolin I can do any time I'm home.

That's great! I suppose you do realize you get better results when you keep that good pace, right?

Great that you are obtaining your goals. I have little goals that I can obtain quite easily so I don't have the problem you face to overcome.

What can you do with your body? Is it something I could do? I am quite flexible, but I can't make Wednesdays.

Why put yourself under pressure from day 1 of the new year? Does this make you happy?

I can't consider it as a pressure really cuz it's my passion. I'm not in a rush, but definitely, I dont wanna get it done later than I can. Every day is an opportunity. And it does make me happy when I earn something that I know I did work hard for. When the moment comes where I can prove myself, like in a competition, I won't feel guilty no matter what the results will be cuz that will be the best of me so far. As long as I gave my all, whatever the outcome may be, I am assured that it's real--there won't be any 'what ifs', or 'I could haves'--no regrets.

You sound very motivated to reach your goals. What does it mean to practice breaking? I have plans for reaching my goals too.

I'm not sure if I had missed out this comment of yours before I answered your question from shiva49's comments but... anyway, are you already going on with your plans?

@mnjhun1 I am doing small things to get my house organized. I signed up for two sites to help me with that. Baby steps work best for me.
