Negative People Are Exhausting!

I went to dinner with a friend of mine and her work colleague, she had just split up from her partner and needed cheering up, hence the dinner. We were chatting about this and that and everything my friend's colleague said was negative, even about some really small things like my friend was raving about a new conditioner (she struggles with her hair) and her colleague put her down saying how awful it was and it was full of chemicals. I mentioned my current studies and she said it was sad that I was working so hard to try and become another fat cat, then she turned the conversation to her work and the new things that have just been introduced. Everything she mentioned sounded amazing and I was a little bit jealous, she slammed everything saying how the company was out to trap everyone and that there was a catch with everything - although she couldn't tell me any of the so called catches! She had to leave early to collect her daughter, when she left I was relived and exhausted by her negativity. My friend said she was trying to do something nice for her and she was worse that this at work, my friend had hoped her colleague would be better outside of work. She is not the only overly negative person I have met, it must be so exhausting for them to be like this all the time. I'm not exactly miss sunshine but wow
