Selfie Deaths

Who could ever think that taking pictures can be that deadly. I remember before when phones didn't have cameras, people just take pictures just for the sole purpose of keeping memories in our photo albums. But now, people are risking their life just to get the best selfie picture as possible just to get the attention from social media. Is this wrong? Probably not, not unless nobody dies from it. I find it senseless to waste life just to get the most extreme selfie pictures, like being in a cliff or standing on top of a high building. I don't have anything against selfies, it is fun and I have seen a lot of interesting selfies. However aside from deaths cause by it, some people are becoming insensible in the things that are happening around them. An example is taking selfies with dead people or even pointing a gun on themselves. Can we see how technology and social media change our way of reasoning and proper judgment? Why not take pictures for meaningful reason, like maybe to inspire others to see the beauty of the things you see, or simply take pictures to keep good memories like before. And not just for us to brag somethings to others and get a number of people likes from people who we don't even know. Take a selfie and be safe guys!

I am not a selfie addict. It is hard to use a selfie using a heavy DSLR camera :) I live taking pictures though and storing them in my computer to be shared later on. I even printed some pictures that I have taken and used them as Christmas cards which I sent to friends and loved ones. At least they know that they are the only ones who have that card.

that's nice to know you're making something special using the pictures that you take..
