The Lost Island of Atlantis

I've seen a video by National Geographic about the possible location of the lost continent of Atlantis. I love reading about lost island and greek mythology. Do you think the lost continent of Atlantis is really burried under the island in Spain? I want you to share any stories and ideas you know about Atlantis. I read it from Criteas but some of the pages from Plato's book went missing.

Mystery of Atlantis is very intriguing. I have seen a lot of documentaries on the subject.. I don't know where I think it was located. I don't even know for sure if the island actually existed. It was said that it was very far ahead of its time and who knows if that is even true I like to think that it is. I hope you have some interesting responses.

You can watch the video by the National Geographic. It seemed believable but it still pays to do a research as you know how things in the televisions are. You don't want to believe everything. I always hear about the Atlantis being a myth but Troy and the wooden horse is also a myth until they found as city that they think is the exact location of Troy and now it's accepted as a history. It can also happen to Atlantis. Maybe, there is really a lost continent sunken somewhere that is Atlantis.

Atlantis was a fictional allegory even in the Plato references to its ideal State and naval superiority

@olivetree27 they could find bits of broken island in lots of places but that in itself is never going to be proof of Atlantis

@arthurchappell Agreed and even if there really was a huge continent that sank, I think it wouldn't sink as a whole landmass. It will be broken into a few land area.

Some believe that Atlantis is just a metaphor written by Plato about the situation of the state but archeologists still believe it though and still trying to find it somewhere in the ocean. It will be very interesting if they do find Atlantis.
