I travelled by Metrolink to Shaw, on the far side of Oldham for post-Xmas drinks with friends, and even received a few belated Xmas presents and cards as we made a full day of our visit to the Shay Wake bar, Including a pub-grub lunch there, followed by a few more drinks at my friend’s house before catching the Metrolink tram home again. We had considered visiting other bars or taking a walk round the hills but the weather suggested a need to just stay put at the Shay Wake. A big thank you to Gill, Dave, Sally and Todd for such a lovely day. I did a little job searching before I travelled to Shaw, and only had time to post a few short features on here yesterday.
