Take a Breather

The weekend flew by for me, only because we were unexpectedly busy.
I began Saturday with errands, returned for a long walk with my friend, then showered and dressed to prepare for my brother, his wife, and dog to stop by. All of us were invited for cocktails, including my walking friend, her husband, and our neighbor's, who just flew in from Finland, at my other sister-in-law's home in our building.
Afterwards, everyone wanted to see my brother's new condo. Then my hubby and I went out to dinner with my brother, his wife, and dog.
Sunday I got caught in a downpour or two while walking with my friend. I looked like a drowned rat when my brother called. He had a friend who wanted to meet me and see our condo. They arrived within 5 minutes. Ugh!
My brother had cooked short ribs and vegetables, so he, his wife, and dog brought it for dinner to our place. I only had to provide drinks, appetizers, asparagus, and dessert.
I can't keep up this pace. I need a breather.

Wow yes you are a bit busy, we did go out to lunch on Sunday and played cards in the afternoon.

@DianneN It really is, we play a game called backalley with his brother and his wife. Girls against the guys. lol we lost.

You have been really busy! I love asparagus, its my favorite vegetable.
They have a very cute looking dog, can they take dogs into resturants? I've never been out for a meal where there is a dog unless its a service dog.
Now you need to rest and take your breather.

@DianneN She is really a good looking dog. Speaking of which, we will have Ellie here next week until some time in February. The kids are going on a trip so we are so happy to have her here with us, we're ready for another dog, but we aren't home enough to properly train a puppy-they take so much time.

That is little Lulu. She became a service dog in June. She is allowed in restaurants, and sits on her blanket under the table, quietly. She doesn't mooch food either. The few times I've been out with her, the waitstaff have given her bowls of water. We try not to let people fuss over her, but they do. We just tell them that she is working, and they back off. She is a little trooper on planes, too. I noticed other people bringing in their dogs to stores and shops, but no restaurants. Of course, Paris is another story!

@Juliaacv You must be so happy! I know you love her so much. My son uses FaceTime to show us Doodles and Kuma. It is not the same as hugging and kissing them, but it is better than not seeing them at all. Are your son and his GF going to Poland to visit her family? Our son and dil went there for a wedding, then toured the country while they were there. It's on my bucket list.

Well, that is what happens in high society lolz
