It never fails....

It never fails, every night, I will get ready for bed. I will get everything together to take to bed with me. I will change into my pajamas. I will turn the TV on, turn the over head light off. Get under the covers and get all comfy. Get my tablet out to load up myLot. And finally settle in for the night.... And it never fails, I forget something!! And it's usually to take my contacts out. So I have to crawl back out from under the covers and take care of that just so I can get back in to bed again. Sometimes I might forget something again a couple more times before I REALLY can get settled into bed. You would think after numerous times of forgetting the same thing, that I would remember by now. But if it's not one thing then it's another. Does this every happen to you?

So you wear contacts then, can you leave them in, I'm not sure or do you have to take them out?

The ones I am wearing now I have to take out. Once I get my new ones next month, then i can keep them in when I sleep, but only for a week.

@T_gray Cool I thought i heard yo could keep them in but that's sometime ago and maybe I was mistaken. Good to know you can leave them in. Have you ever worn glasses before instead of contacts?

@kevin1877uk It depends on the brand of contact on weather you can sleep in them. And yes I wear my glasses often actually. Usually when I am around the house though. I have to have my contacts in when I leave because I have to wear sunglasses outside because my eyes are so sensitive to light

@Morleyhunt Yes, I have done that before too. That's the worst, when you are almost asleep.

Maybe not every time, but close enough. For me it's the need to use the bathroom before I go to bed. I've also forgotten my bottle of water I keep at my bedside for when I'm super parched or for my medication in the morning.

i leave my eyeglasses on the table, but I have another set at the bedside table, which I use when I play on tablet. more often than not, I sleep without finishing the game of candy crush soda.

I have fallen asleep playing games before. I have fallen asleep taking a survey once.

Every once in awhile, I will get all settled and almost asleep, and remember I never took my dentures out.

What a relief. I would give anything to remember everything just once.

I guess most of us have a number of little rituals that we need to go through before we go to bed. It is annoying to forget one - or two!
