How Often You Wash Your Bathroom Towels?

This is the latest question that ramps on my facebook wall. I am pretty strict in using a bathroom towel. Husband and I have separate sets of towel. And we are blatantly requesting our visitors to bring their own towels whenever they are visiting us or wants to have a sleepovers. We washed our towels every 7 days and we have a location that will air dry it nicely. You? How do you treat your bathroom towels?

we have extra towels for visitors and i think most homes have the same practice, so i'm surprised and curious about what you wrote. why did you and your husband decide not to buy extra towels for your visitors to use?

@wiLLmaH towels are useful when packing stuff to be shipped home.

We have one extra bath towel (yellow colored) for siblings/friends that are hard-headed that do not bring their own. My mom also have a lot of towels for our visitors to use. Since we are here temporarily in Singapore, we are not buying a lot of things that soon may cause a problem if we will be coming back in Philippines for good.

I only use my bath towel for 3 days maximum. I would like to change it daily but I cannot afford to wash and dry that often. I do not have that many towels really.

We also have a separate set. The guests room has a separate bath with towels that I only use for guests. I would never ask a guest to bring towels, this sounds pretty rude. I wash my towels twice a week and dry in the dryer, the are softer than dried naturally.

That is our plan too when we got our own home. A conplete set of anything a visitor can ask for when they visited us.

I tend to do all my washing on a Saturday. We have our own sets of towels and a couple of sets for guests. We would never ask someone to bring their own towels with them.

In my home we never use the same towel twice so I have tons of towels and tons of laundry to do. Imagine a family of five, five towels a day minimum

I have two separate spots for our towels... I hang the bath towel in the little cove area where the shower is... and I have to hand towels hanging by our double sings for visitors and also have little wipes on the sink for them to use also if they prefer, which dry very fast. Have a beautiful day my friend.

Since I am the only one in my house whoe use bath towels, I use them more than once, and then when the week is out, I put them in the laundry and wait until I have enough to wash, and then I will wash them. I live alone, so it does take me awhile to make enough laundry, as I fill up the laundry bin, so that i don't have to wash as often and I fill up the washer as I don't use as much water that way. The electric here, is quite high, so I have to conserve where I can.

@wiLLmaH I pay enough for it as it is, as the electric here is quite high as they keep raising their rates. It is hard a a senior citizen and divorecee to make ends meet at times.

I wash my bathroom towels every 3 days. I always bring my own towel when I sleepover at my friend's house even if they don't ask me, but I never ask anyone to bring towel if they want to sleepover at my place. I also use handtowel that wash everyday.

Not everyday , Once in a week. I never asks visitors to come with towels, I think it is not practical. But we keep fresh towel for them.

I use my own towels and visitors can use the towel we provide (separate kinds) or bring their own. We wash our towels regularly probably like twice a week but we have a lot to go through before washing.

If you're talking about the towel used to dry our bodies after showers, then I wash those once a week (usually on Sundays). If you're talking about bathroom handtowels (to dry hands after washing them), I don't wash those. I just throw them out after a while because I buy really cheap ones.

I also wash our towels once a week. We don't share towels, either. But I've never asked a guest to bring their own towels and I've neveer been asked by anybody to do so. I find this absurd.

I wash our bath towels and the hand towels once a week. We each have our own and I get out extras for guests. Our climate is dry and the towels dry thoroughly each day after use.
