Staying in again

The day is almost over and I am just getting around to posting on here. I slept in this morning, and have just been taking it easy. I was supposed to go out for dinner today with my family for a grandson's birthday, but the weather man was predicting snow and freezing rain, and I did not want to be on the roads. I would have had to drive for about 45 minutes each way, so thought it better to just stay home. Looks like some ice is starting to form on the trees outside my window, so I am glad to be safe inside. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Better safe than sorry. I'm sure your family and grandson would want you to be safe. Happy birthday to him! Enjoy your weekend and see you Monday!

I felt really sad at first, but gave myself five minutes to feel sorry, then found something else to do. I had a good weekend.

@AnneEJ I just knew you'd find something to do! Glad your weekend was good. We took my brother and his wife out for their anniversary.

@AnneEJ We've been promised snow too, but it rarely comes to much. Stay warm.

It sounds like you made the right decision. I've only been out to get my treatment done on my back, and my husband drove me to that. You sound like you are all cozy and warm in your home and having a good day. I'm sure that your family will understand and wouldn't want you driving in poor weather conditions.

Yes, I was glad I didn't go, because we did get some freezing rain. I hope you are feeling better today.

We had no snow or rain, but a very strong wind, we also preferred to stay at home.

At my age, it is better to miss out on things, than to drive when the weather is bad.
