I wrote a post about making a monthly budget and I had a request to show one so I have. I made this Fake Budget Sheet so that people can see an easy way to make a budget sheet. This is only an idea you can change it and adjust it to make it to your liking. The image was one that I made printed and scanned then uploaded.

I assume you use the net pay, as in the take-home pay, rather than the gross salary for the Paycheck. That is a prudent move. I am sure there are some annual expenses, such as car insurance, and income tax for writing site. You may like to divide the annual expenses by 12, so that you get a monthly figure. This will be accrued outgoing expenses. It will smooth out the budget so that you get the same balanced sum every month as your saving.

Yes we use the take home pay for the whole month. I just make sure the numbers are right she does the rest that sheet is a basic sheet she makes mostly for me to view hers is way more detailed. You're right about dividing the annual expenses.

thats pretty smart that way you don't have to cut into the regular budget and you have a constant motivator to do online work or you won't eat as well

No problem glad you found it useful the colors are great because its all visual and in your mind or at least ours red not good negative so we know they are debts no need for minus and plus signs etc. She does the same with the calendar she keeps one on her desk Doc appts in Red and Business/Banking Green,School stuff Blue and so on as long as the colors are easy to remember the rest is so easy to read you can breeze through it in a minute and know everything you need to about your finances. If you want you an laminate it and use dry erase markers to fill in the numbers no more printing paper.
