Celine Dion's Husband and Brother Died in the Same Week

I don't know if you are aware, but the fabulous singer Celine Dion lost both her husband and her brother to cancer this week.
That is such a terrible tragedy.
I cannot imagine how awful she must feel.
Cancer is such a dreadful disease and it seems so many people have died of it. Just the past few weeks, there have been several celebrities who have died of cancer. It seems as though every time I turn around, it is someone else.
I have lost relatives to cancer. I'm sure most of you have, too.
I hope they find a cure for it one of these days.

@DeborahDiane When I have read which type of cancer I immediately thought "they surely smoked a lot".

@LadyDuck - Yes, smoking contributes to many types of cancer, but particularly those related to the lungs, throat and mouth. It is so sad, because it is preventable.

It is great to see that President Obama has made it a priority and put Joe Biden in charge since VP Biden lost his son to cancer.

I agree. I was pleased to see cancer become a high level priority, which it is now that Joe Biden will be in charge of finding a cure. I'm sure it was meaningful to Joe Biden, too, after he lost his son.

I read it on the internet while checking emails and i thought about sharing it then i thought someone else here would beat me to it lol funny thing is up until your post I hadn't seen anyone else mention them I had read about a few other people though.

@lokisdad - Yes, some people do get star struck and infatuated with famous people. Carried to extremes, it can seem kind of weird.

Yes, I imagine that it has been a very difficult time. She must have known they were both dying for months, so she has certainly been going through a very difficult period of time.
