I love smelling orange peels

I had a couple of Clementine oranges for dessert this evening. I enjoyed them very much. But my enjoyment didn’t end when I had eaten them. That’s because I didn’t just throw the orange peels away. I began to squeeze them.
For me the smell that comes when an orange peel is squeezed is heavenly. It smells so fresh and clean; and of course, citrusy. I love it!
Then, of course, once you have squeezed the peel, that smell stays on your hand for a while. And there’s no mess or greasiness. Just that clean, fresh smell to make you think of warm days on a tropic beach with a cold citrus drink by your side.
Orange peels are great!

@RonElFran I saw it in a post - whether here or Bubblews I can't remember - however there are a lot of uses for fresh orange peel.

@RonElFran After so many years I have reconciled myself to the situation.

What a trial it must be to love the smell, but not be able to eat the fruit!

I like the smell of orange peels. In fact oranges are my favourite but my throat gets affected sometimes as it did a few days ago.

Most citrus smells are very pleasant I think. For some reason your post made me think of the instrumental 'Orange Blossom Special'. Do you remember that piece?
