In some communities girl child has a long way to go before they can feel safe.
Yesterday i was watching a documentary based on Northern part of Kenya. These communities are mainly pastoralists and are yet to adapt to the modern world. The documentary was about men raping girls and having to go free. The girls in question are too young some even 2 years old. When these men rape them a group of elders meet and decide the fate of the man. All that he has to do is to pay some cattle and that is it. Women have no say and so they watch as their little girls suffer.
I am feeling so disgusted by this. What do county governments do in these areas
